DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY

History has been offered as one of the subjects of learning right from its inception. The department of History emerged as a full- fledged faculty imparting the degree of Bachelor of Arts in History in the year 1971 and was raised to the status of a post graduate department in 1980. It is to become a Research centre for M.Phil course from the academic year 2009 – 2010 onwards. The department also offers certificate course in Travel Management.
