DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS

The Physics department came into existence in the year 1971. Ever since it has been growing by leaps and bounds, Physics being a much sought – after course, students from far – flung areas join the course.

The department frequently organizes special lecturers and seminars enthusing students to perform par excellence. It is indeed proud of consistently achieving excellent academic results.

The department having set up its own career guidance cell is doing yeomen service to job – seekers among students. It serves in motivating students to pursue higher studies. Almost every year two or three students of the department get selected for B.Tech & M.Sc courses offered by the Anna University , Chennai.

The Computer laboratory attached to the department is of maximum use for students to develop their skill in software programmes. The department also has a library with updated journals and periodicals.
