PLACEMENT CELL

The Placement Cell is functioning dynamically under Mr K.Rabi Ahamed ’s guidance and coordination. A number of programmes were organized to motivate the students and apprise them of the trends in recruitment. Fifty students of our college attended the workshop conducted by ICFAI, Tirunelveli on 14.10,2008.

Rufina (III Mathematics) were recruited by Cybernet Slash Support, Chennai.

R. Mohamed Junaith has been placed as a microbiologist in Convenio Foods International Pvt. Ltd, Chennai.

A.Nigela of II Microbiology has been selected by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the U.S. Department of State, the USA, for the 2010-2011 Near East & South Asia Undergraduate Exchange Programme.

One hundred students underwent training in MS-Office , C and C++, Hardware and Networking and Tally at CDCS Computer Education, Tirunelveli, under a special scheme for minority students sanctioned by the Government of Tamilnadu. The inauguration of the programme was held on 26.02.2010.

Twenty five students were selected by the Rotary Club of Tirunelveli Town for imparting job-oriented Computer training for one year. Our student R.Mohamed Darveesh of I BBA was the topper in the Rotary Merit Test conducted for selecting meritorious students.

II CAREER- ORIENTED PROGRAMMES ORGANISED AND ATTENDED

1. A Model Bank Examination for all the final year students was conducted through TIME Institute, Tirunelveli, on 24.09.09 to create awareness about Bank Examinations.

2. HEIGHTS, Tirunelveli, conducted a Model Bank Examination for all the UG and the PG students on 18th and 29th January, 2010.

3. Thiru. Rangarajan from Internation School of Business and Research, Chennai, addressed our students on the theme " Management Studies Today". The Programme was organized on 18th January, 2010.

4. BOBO school of Web Designing hosted One-day Workshop on "Animation and Web Designing - A Challenge". It was conducted on 3rd February, 2010.

5. The Career Guidance and the Counseling Cell of our college has been sanctioned a grant of Rupees Five Lakhs by the UGC under the XI Plan.(Merged Scheme). Two UGC Sponsored Seminars on "Preparing for Competitive Examinamination" and "I.A.S, I.P.S and Other Services" have been conducted on 23.03.2010 and 31.03.2010 inviting students from neighbouring colleges.

6. Thiru. S. Mohamed Haneef, Thiru M.Sheik Mohideen Badhusha and seven students attended the One-day Workshop on "IAS and Other Services", organized by the Department of the Business Administration, Kalasalingam University, on 18th October, 2009.

7. Selvi T.Anbu Uma and Selvi. S. Priya (III IT) attended a Three-day State Level Young Adult Conference on "Human Rights and Inter - Faith Harmony" from 5th to 7th March, 2010. It was organied by International Association for Religious Freedom and Caussanel Inter-Religioua Young Adult for Human Rights, Tirunelveli.
