ASSOCIATION INAUGURAL FUNCTION

The Department of Commerce (B), Sadakathullah Appa College, organized its Commerce Association Inaugural Function on 31st July 2025 in the Seminar Hall. The program included Qirath, welcome and introductory addresses, followed by the presidential and felicitation speeches. The Chief Guest, Mrs. K. J. Febila Sheen, Manager, Indian Overseas Bank, delivered an inspiring talk on “Business Model Curves with Banking Services.” A special address motivated the students, and the event concluded with a vote of thanks. Faculty members and student coordinators played a key role in making the program a success.

CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAMME

The Department of Commerce (B), Sadakathullah Appa College, organized a Career Guidance Programme on 22nd October 2025 in the Seminar Hall on the topic “Developing Competitive Examination Skills among the Youth in the Present Scenario.” The resource person, Mr. R. Christhu Raja, Assistant Professor, St. Xavier’s College, guided students on effective preparation strategies for competitive exams, emphasizing analytical thinking, time management, and self-discipline. The interactive session motivated students to identify their strengths and plan their careers confidently. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and was highly beneficial to the participants.

AWARENESS PROGRAM ON SECURITIES MARKET

The Department of Commerce – B, Sadakathullah Appa College, organized a Guest Lecture on “Awareness Program on Securities Market” on 22 January 2026 in the Seminar Hall. The program included welcome, presidential, and felicitation addresses highlighting the importance of financial literacy and capital market knowledge. The Keynote Address was delivered by Mr. Rajesh Babu Rajarathinam, SEBI Smart Trainer, Securities and Exchange Board of India, Madurai, who explained the structure of the securities market, investment options, investor protection, and fraud awareness. The interactive session enhanced students’ financial awareness and employability skills, and the program concluded with a vote of thanks.
